Broad Cove Capital is an employee-owned family office, united in our dedication to clients. We’ve worked for larger firms, and we’ve worked independently. We prefer the freedom of the latter. Our clients prefer it too—there’s never a doubt about who to call or the quality of service. Another distinct aspect of our service model—something our multigenerational clients appreciate—is our family pricing structure.
We’re New Englanders. When something needs doing we figure it out or find an expert who can. We’re nimble. We respond when our clients need us, 24/7. Why? It’s our absolute privilege to do what we do. And like all good Yankees, thrift is a quality we share.
We’ve earned the trust of the families we serve, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Over time, relationships develop into close friendships, and we’re often treated like extended family members. We love helping families accomplish great things on a well-charted course, and we are honored to serve as fiduciaries.

Matthew E.D. Daigneault
Chief Operating Officer
Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®)
Wealth Management Specialist® (WMS®)
Originally from Aroostook County (and now a self-proclaimed Vermonter-in-exile), Matt has more than 20 years of investment and client relationship management experience. His adoration of the investment management process took hold at an early age when—to his parents’ chagrin— he would commandeer the family’s lone television on Friday evenings to watch Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser. Even then he took note of the show’s lead supporter—A.G. Edwards and Sons, an independent investment firm in St. Louis—foreshadowing the day, in 2003, when he would join the firm and establish his long-standing partnership with John Duffy. Matt enjoys skiing, hiking, golf, and cycling. He and his wife live on the seacoast of New Hampshire and enjoy spending time at their family cabin in Lemington, Vermont (population 103).
Portfolio Planning Manager
The youngest of three brothers—and the only true native Mainer among them, Gerrit grew up in Mechanic Falls where his father still covers the beat for the local newspaper and his mother is the town librarian. After college, Gerrit began working with institutional investors, followed by a stint living the ranchero life in El Paso, Texas. He brings nine years of quantitative investment management experience to Broad Cove Capital, and is happy to regale you with stories of how he assisted with the prevention of credit card fraud and money laundering. An active outdoorsman (some would say obsessed), in his downtime you’ll find Gerrit running, biking, hiking, or gardening. An avid traveler for business and pleasure, he is always planning the next trip with his wife.
Director of Client Services
Stephanie Williams joined Broad Cove Capital in 2019, coming from a lead client support role at a local medical practice. Stephanie genuinely loves to help people and lend a hand whenever possible. She and her husband are recently married. They live in Gray with their two rescue dogs, Angus and Bubba, and are excited to grow their family. They enjoy kayaking, camping, and getting together with friends and family. Stephanie is happiest from November through December when her holiday spirit is at its peak. Don’t be surprised to find her listening to Christmas music the day after Halloween.
